FUEL FEED EMERGENCY CUT OFF DEVICE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; automobiles and tractors. SUBSTANCE: bypass valve forms two spaces communicating through throttling hole. First space communicates with fuel feed main line, and second space includes valve plunger provided with disk. Permanent magnet interacts with plunger disk holding the latter in fuel main line overlapping position. Hollow cylinder is provided whose axis is arranged vertically and coaxially with axis of bypass valve plunger, and space is divided into upper and lower ones by partition made of ferromagnetic material. Solenoid of electromagnet located in lower space of cylinder is connected with mercury sealed contact reed relay and with supply source. Device is furnished also with T-shaped disk made of permanent magnet. Ring is press-fitted in upper space of cylinder, and hole is made in cover for solenoid leads. Device provides cut off of fuel delivery at change of vehicle is space, for instance, at turning over to side or top. False operation of device is excluded. EFFECT: improved safety on road. 1 dwg
