VEHICLE ELECTRIC SWITCH WITH SEALED HOUSING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: armored material. SUBSTANCE: switch has first cylindrical housing with electromagnetic pusher providing, through metal plate, closing and opening of rods in circuit of instruments supplied according to two-wire scheme and connection with frame and disconnection from frame of vehicle through angular contact. Control toggle switch and mercury sealed contact reed relay are provided. Sealed contact reed relay breaks pusher coil supply circuit in case of vehicle turnover and provides automatic disconnection of frame minus pole of storage battery. Design peculiarity of proposed device is used of second hermetically sealed housing made in form of cup with diaphragm and rod acting onto control toggle switch. Housing of sealed contact reed relay is enclosed in rubber case. Proposed design of switch makes it possible to disconnect armament supply circuits from cumulative ammunition load if crew members are killed and thus provide safety of repair team. Outer rubber case of sealed contact reed relay precludes poisoning with mercury vapors if reed relay housing is damaged. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation. 1 dwg
