FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: there is proposed double anode electrolyzer with side current supply to self-baking anodes. Anodes are manufactured in the form of narrow long blocks which longitudinal symmetry axes are parallel to longitudinal axis of electrolyzer. Internal sides of anodes form slit between electrodes in anode mass and current-carrying pins are positioned along one longitudinal and two face sides of each anode block. Face sides of anode enclosures are tied up in rigid anode structure by means of metal braces. EFFECT: increased output of aluminum, reduced ohmic loss of voltage and frequency of anode effects. 1 cl, 2 dwg
