FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Lower part of steel anode current-carrying rod withdrawn from electrolytic cell self-calcinating anode and having temperature of 600-950°C is fitted in the mould to produce protective coat by pouring liquid metal therein. Said protective coat is made of refractory metal and features outer sizes matching anode port lower part in initial shape and sizes.
EFFECT: sufficient conductivity, increased MTBF.
