FIELD: measuring equipment, in particular, systems for metering the liquid volume and level in reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: measuring device has optically matched laser light source, fiber light-emitting diodes connected to a scanner, which is connected to an electronic unit. The light source is installed in the upper part of the reservoir side wall and can turn relative to it through an angle up to 90 deg. One end of the light source is directed inside the reservoir onto the liquid surface, and the other - to the scanner in such a way so as to control the angle of turn of the source with the aid of which it is possible to calculate the level of liquid in the reservoir by means of the electronic computing unit. By scanning the light spot via the first light-emitting diode located on the reservoir side wall it is possible to take into account the reservoir deformation under the influence of various factors, in particular, the temperature of ambient air. One end of the second light-emitting diode is located on the reservoir cover, and the other end is directed to the scanner.
