FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device has two linear photoelectronic matrices installed at the angle to a reservoir wall at the side opposite to installation of a source of light made in the form of a laser. The angle of laser beam orientation is in the range of 10…80° and is related to the angle of orientation of the first linear matrix by the following dependence: and to the second linear matrix - by the dependence: γ=90°-β, where β - angle of beam orientation to normal line to the reservoir wall; α - angle of inclination of the first linear matrix to the normal line to the reservoir wall; γ - angle of inclination of the second linear matrix to the normal line to the reservoir wall; n - index of light refraction relative to air, besides, laser and both matrices are installed as capable of inclination angle variation. This device makes it possible to determine liquid level in a reservoir with high accuracy, speed and direction of its change.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of level detection and fixation of dynamics of its variation with high accuracy.
