FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weight measurement equipment and can be used for determination of take-off mass and position of center of gravity of aircraft. In order to implement the method, gravity forces are measured, which act on all aircraft supports with which the aircraft touches the horizontal surface of the aerodrome. First, the shock absorber of each support is calibrated at the test bench to obtain numerical dependence of the length of the compressed damper on the value of the vertical and axial load applied to the shock absorber. In conditions of aerodrome on all supports the unknown values of compression of shock-absorbers are determined. Available dependences are used to find values of gravity forces acting on supports, mass and position of the center of gravity of the aircraft are determined using given formulas.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of the process of determining the mass and position of the center of gravity of the aircraft.
