FIELD: determination of average density of two-phase mixture in passages of steam-generating units both in stationary and transient modes. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of static pressure at two points of passage and determination of difference of these pressures ΔP; average density of two-phase mixture is determined from the following formula: ρmix = ΔP/gz.. Direction of flow is changed in such way that pressure are located on one axis in plane directed at angle of 90 deg relative to two-phase flow and oriented in way force of gravity; distance "Z" between pressure taps is measured at repeated change of position of measuring tube.
