FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of autonomous reduction of thresholds of detection and following of carrier signals received in orbit by receiver fitted with orbital navigation system located inside or outside of this receiver. The latter has one ring of phase autotuning as minimum. Given ring of phase autotuning is used to detect and/or follow carrier, to enter accurate auxiliary data on speed and to correct error between actual and computed speeds. Search for Doppler frequency of received carrier is carried out in the vicinity of predicted value of frequency obtained with the aid of accurate auxiliary data on speed coming from orbital navigation system.
