FIELD: technique of radiometric measurements, in particular, estimation of phase shift of electromagnetic wave radiated by satellite-borne radar at its passage through ionosphere. SUBSTANCE: method consists in forming of interferograms obtained by means of two satellite-borne radars operating at wavelengths λ1 and λ2 respectively, satisfying relation mλ1= nλ2, where m and n represent certain integers; the mentioned radars are installed on the same satellite; as well as in accomplishing of linear function mλ1-nλ2 of respective phases Ф1 and Ф2 of the first and second interferograms; the fraction member of this linear function is a representative one for non-Euclidean effects influencing the radar images and makes it possible to measure relative small displacements of terrestrial surface.
