FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in navigation systems. For this purpose, the moving object position is estimated based on the reception of GNSS navigation signals transmitted by the satellite constellation; the navigational signals are modulated by means of a code, and the receiver comprises a local code duplicate. To determine the reliability index, the speed of of the receiver motion at the identified trajectory segment is estimated; on the basis of it, the Doppler delay function corresponding the receiver motion is derived; the autocorrelation function of the navigation GNSS signal received from each satellite of the constellation uis corrected using the delay function; the corrected autocorrelation function is compared with the theoretical autocorrelation function, using a quadratic criterion relevant to the reliability index.
EFFECT: invention provides increased accuracy in determining the reliability index in navigation systems.
