FIELD: gas analyzing by means of chromatograph. SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric cooler used for cooling and temperature control of chromatographic column capillary tube and for its fast heating during gas analyzing by means of chromatograph has cooling thermopile, composite matrix, radiator, fan, case, cover, heat insulation, temperature sensor, and high-speed heater in the form of ceramic tube with metallized collars and wire coil. Current-conducting caps are soldered onto ends of ceramic tube. Two tubes made of material possessing high thermal conductivity are slide-fitted onto ceramic tube. Tube-to-tube clearance corresponds to clearance between matrix components. Composite matrix components are electrically insulated from each other and heater current leads are soldered to them. Flexible lead is soldered to metallized strip (track) of ceramic heat transition of thermopile cold junction. Heater is provided with pushing spring disposed in matrix which is protruding from upper edge of matrix by 0.5-0.8 mm and is held tight against the latter by means of cover incorporating built- in weight.
