FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has bath, patient accommodation and fastening system comprising retainers for patient fastening and frame equipped with mechanism for lifting and lowering frame into bath and loading mechanism. Patient accommodation and fastening system and loading mechanism are provided with kinematic connection members allowing said system and said mechanism to be automatically interconnected during submerging of frame carrying patient into bath and disconnected during lifting thereof from bath. Said system is made in the form of articulated frame with extensible platform comprising immovable boarding for upper half of patient's body and movable carriage for lower part of patient's body. Articulated frame is pivotally connected with its one end to bath and is equipped with hydraulic drive to move frame to horizontal position for fastening patient on extensible platform with following submersion of frame with patient into bath. Loading mechanism is made in the form of measuring vessel equipped with liquid filling and drain pipelines. Apparatus may be used for treatment of patients suffering spine disease in curing and prophylactic enterprises as well as in sanatorium and health resort enterprises. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency by automatic spine traction. 2 cl, 4 dwg
