FIELD: grinding equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing, hopper, explosion chamber made in the form of body of revolution, wall-mounted members for accommodating and grinding of tires by explosion, and vortex chamber with blades mounted on walls. Vortex and explosion chambers are arranged inside housing with gap between their walls defining compensation chamber. Apparatus is further equipped with sealing sluices, ventilation system, main and auxiliary gas pipelines. Auxiliary gas pipelines communicate compensation chamber with atmosphere and with explosion chamber via sluice, which communicates auxiliary gas pipeline with explosion chamber. Charging unit is formed by upper part of explosion chamber. Water spraying nozzles are located in gas pipelines. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced cost of grinding process. 11 cl, 3 dwg
