FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dosage of polymer additives to Portland cement- containing concrete, said polymer additives containing alkylene procedure groups, in particular ethylene oxide/propylene oxide (EO/PO) groups attached to main carbon chain of comb-shaped polymers. Aqueous cement compositions containing superplasticizer based on above- indicated polymers and additionally containing smectite, which expands when in contact with water, are prepared in a process including addition of agent to reduce capacity of smectite to absorb comb-shaped polymer superplasticizer when smectite expands, said agent containing inorganic cation, organic cation, polar organic compound, dispersant for smectite to reduce its absorption capacity, or their mixture. Invention also proposes cement composition including hydraulic cementing binder, EO/PO- plasticizer, filler, smectite, agent providing modification of smectite activity, and additive including EO/PO-plasticizer and aforesaid agent.
