FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be used in performance of overburden works at open pits during winter season on soft rocks of seasonal freezing. Method for softening of surface layer of pit openings during seasonal freezing of rock, including softening of slope to entire depth of freezing with inclined slits and softening of frozen layer of rock of working platform along bench by formation parallel to each other of horizontal slots on depth of rock freezing. Cutting of inclined slots is performed by milling excavator along curvilinear trajectory of slope of bench, at that, additional deepening of inclined slots and horizontal slots is performed by means of laser device with protective casing and ripper installed behind milling working element. Laser device creates directed high-temperature action on frozen layer of rock remaining in depth, subjected to high-temperature action of mechanical destruction by means of ripper controlled by hydraulic cylinder with cutting of recesses.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of productivity, reliability and technological effectiveness of softening of frozen rocks by providing possibility of softening benches with curved surfaces of slopes to entire depth of freezing in severe climatic conditions.
