FIELD: cryogenic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adsorption pumps designed for maintaining vacuum by absorbing molecules of gases from closed spaces. Proposed adsorption pump has heat-insulated double-walled vessel with cooling agent and adsorbent secured on inner wall of vessel. Pump accommodates central capsule with adsorbent provided with outer jacket and ribs made of capillary-porous material, for instance, capillary-porous fluoroplastic. Ribs are made in form of radial vanes of curvilinear profile and are uniformly spaced in inner space of vessel being in contact with inner wall of vessel. Inner of capsule communicates with inter-wall space, for instance, through perforated covers. Heat insulation is placed in inter-wall space. Outer jacket has electric heater made in form of current-carrying core arranged inside non-conducting capillary-porous material. EFFECT: improved evacuation properties owing to provision of stabilization of cooling and increased efficiency of regeneration of adsorbent. 2 dwg
