SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel BICYCLE aromatic compounds of the general formula (I) showing capacity to bind RXRα and to a pharmaceutical composition based on thereof that can be used in medicine, veterinary science and cosmetics. Compounds correspond to the general formula (I) where R₁ is CH₃,CH₂OR₂,COR₃; R₂ and R₃ have values indicated below; Ar₁ means groups taken among (a) , (b) , (c) ; R₄-R₁₁ have values indicated below; Ar₂ means radical ; X means radical taken among groups (i) , (j) , (l) ; R₂ means hydrogen atom, lower alkyl or radical CO-R₁₆; R₃ means -OR₁₇; R₄ means hydrogen atom, -OR₁₈; R₅ means lower alkyl; R₆ means tert.-butyl; R₇ means +OR₂₀, lower alkyl; R₈ means tert.-butyl, adamantyl; R₉ and R₁₀ taken in common form with an adjacent aromatic ring a 6-membered ring optionally substituted with methyl groups; R₁₁ means lower alkyl comprising from 1 to 9 carbon atoms, lower alkoxy-group, -OR₂₁, polyester group. Other values of radicals have values indicated in the invention claim. A pharmaceutical composition comprises at least one compound among compounds of the general formula (I) and taken mainly in the amount from 0.001 to 5 wt.% of total composition.
