FIELD: mechanical engineering; vibration suppression means. SUBSTANCE: proposed vibration damper has cylindrical housing, magnetorheological suspension, and electromagnetic system with movable core made of magnetically soft material placed in housing. Movable core is made in form of coil with fitted-on control winding and is secured inside housing by means of two flat springs. Cheeks of coil form ring clearances with housing. Magnetorheological suspension is placed in these clearances. Detachable ring mass elements are mounted on outer surface of housing by means of locks. EFFECT: improved efficiency of vibration damping owing to increased frequency range. 1 dwg
