FIELD: radio-electronics; organizing internal and external communications on board ships. SUBSTANCE: newly introduced in system are central switching unit and radio-system control equipment; central switching unit is connected to switching centers by means of fiber-optic communication lines and has central control transceiver unit, central open- and closed-communication transceiver unit, central trunk transceiver unit, and other units; system control device is built around microcomputer and is star-connected to central switching unit components which are coupled in their turn with radio-system control equipment. Proposed system provides for more effective use of network that integrates all subsystems of shipboard computer-aided communication system, as well as for integration of all types of shipboard communications of the computer-aided communication system and for integration of all kinds of shipboard communications, control facilities, and data channel switching facilities of computer- aided communication system at the same time reducing by at least five times amount of cable, by 50% hardware requirement, and enhancing reliability and survivability of communication system. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, reduced range of instruments, and shortened cable line.
