FIELD: animal science, deer breeding. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with the total treatment of deer' velvet antlers with chemical preparation by spraying the deer in their paddock. Moreover, it is used the "Proteide" preparation in 1:1000 - 1:500 dilution at the dosage of 250-350 ml/deer in case of their free movement through a paddock designed, for example, as a corridor opened from both sides. The method provides a 100% protection against deer flies for 17-24 d, decreased number of treatments during the period of velvet antlers' cutting being 2-3 ones and lower traumaticity of deer.
