FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves sorting velvet antlers into six categories by their weight and boiling them by 6-fold plunging into water at 96-97 C from the apex to the second process and then 3-fold plunging with the first and the second processes and single plunging the base to the second process with cooling phases being between the plunging actions when the velvet antlers are placed at an angle of 30-60 deg alternating base down and base up positions depending on velvet antlers category and ordinal number of cooling phase. Drying with wind is carried out in base down position at the same angle and drying with heat is carried out at 67-69 C alternating horizontal suspension and base down position during the first three drying cycles. EFFECT: large amount of biologically active substances retained; uniform distribution of biologically active substances in velvet antlers. 6 cl, 6 tbl
