FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: wheel chair has base with armchair, wheels and manual drive connected to drive wheels. Armchair is secured in blind bushings of base. Movable lever equipped with arm and mounted on base is joined through pin to shackle and carrier, which are rigidly connected on rolls. Yoke is movably fixed to rotating member and rigidly fixed on shaft. Gear is mounted for restricted rotation on roll and for engagement with gear, which is mounted for restricted rotation on shaft. Sprockets with pulleys are alternately interconnected through clutches and fixed for axial displacement by means of cables with lever arm. Sprockets and pulleys are coupled through transmissions with sprockets and pulleys rigidly fixed on drive wheel spindles. Wheel chair may be changed over for free motion through displacement of handle clutches to neutral position. EFFECT: simplified construction, provision for free rotation of drive wheels, low cost and availability for the majority of users. 4 dwg
