FIELD: fire fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher has balloon for pressurized fire-extinguishing substance and locking valve joined to balloon. Locking valve body has head and seat, which are connected one to another. Seat has cylindrical cavity in its upper part and bottom with central opening having annular bead. Valve head has vertical cavity with rod positioned inside it and horizontal cavity provided with thread for connecting flare. U-shaped handle is attached to head. Locking, opening and pressure levers are arranged between side legs of U-shaped handle. Rod is made in the form of roll having lower part of increased diameter. Sealing member is located in cavity formed in lower part of roll so that it may be lowered onto annular bead in seat bottom by means of locking-safety spring. Rod has member located in its upper part and adapted for engagement with opening lever. Fire extinguisher of such construction is used as primary fire fighting means for suppressing forest fires in industrial and agricultural enterprises, in vehicles as well as in homes.
