CLAMP BOLT TIGHTENING CHECK METHOD Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; track maintenance. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of checking clamp bolts for tightening at maintenance of tracks of reinforced concrete ties. According to proposed method, axial force in clamp bolt installed in acting unit of intermediate fastening of track skeleton is checked for sufficient value. Checking is done by acting onto wrench end of clamp bolt by applying normal axial force, and standard spring washer is checked for elastic deformation. Method is based on direct measurement of value of spring washer elastic deformation when normal axial force is applied to wrench end face of clamp bolt. Tightening of clamp bolt is considered insufficient if elastic deformation value of spring washer exceeds zero value. EFFECT: provision of possibility of in-line checking of condition of track skeleton intermediate fastening units, particularly, tightening of clamp bolts. 2 dwg
