FIELD: manufacture of engines and compressors; devices for conversion of rotary motion into reciprocating motion. SUBSTANCE: innovation of invention consists in availability of connecting rod with longitudinal stops located on its opposite sides; each side is provided with gear rack. Each gear rack is extended at butts to either side by arcs of bearing cylindrical surfaces with sector equal to about quarter of circle for rolling of sections of gears free from teeth and for aligned interaction of section free from teeth of each gear with respective arcs of bearing cylindrical surfaces and surfaces of longitudinal stops. EFFECT: extended range of S/D rations; reduced mass of reciprocating parts; reduced inertial loads at change of direction of reciprocating motion. 3 cl, 2 dwg
