FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices converting rotary motion into reciprocating motion and containing gear wheel which is in meshing with movable gear frame. Proposed device has frame gear racks with semi-circular extensions at end faces whose radius exceeds that of outer radius of rotating gear wheel by value equal to half of tooth depth. Teeth on gear wheel are cut of part of disk, while other part of wheel disk over radius serves as cam capable of rolling over surface of support semicircumferences of frame and sliding over surface of longitudinal stops. Gear frame and axle of gear wheel are installed for free longitudinal travel and free cross reciprocation. EFFECT: elimination of clashing when rotating gear wheel gets out of meshing with on gear rack and edges with other gear rack owing to provision of continuous contact of gear wheel with gear frame according to parameters of meshing and creating velocity gradient at change of direction of longitudinal reciprocation of gear frame. 6 cl, 2 dwg
