FIELD: manufacture of valves designed for shutoff of working media flows conveyed through pipelines. SUBSTANCE: ball cock has body with horizontal inlet and outlet pipes. Cock body accommodates gate connected with spindle and provided with one-sided seal and hinge on lower support. Unit for spindle turning in the form of fixed nut is located on cover. Body inside has spherical self-adjusting seat. Spindle lower part has a groove. Inclined recesses are located on groove segment sides. Installed in gate upper support is a pin whose ends move in spindle inclined recesses. EFFECT: simplified design of cock and extended its technological potentialities. 3 dwg
