FIELD: mechanical engineering; pipe line fittings; control of working medium flows.

SUBSTANCE: proposed ball cock has body with inlet and outlet branch pipes. Body is also provided with stem, swivel working member with throughway passage, lower and upper supports and seat with seal. Lower support which is spherical in shape is mounted in hole available in body under shut-off member. Upper support is shiftable relative to lower one under action of stem. Seat is made in form of cylindrical bush. Hole for lower spherical support is shifted towards seat by amount of shift of upper support. Seat is movable along branch pipes of body. Provision is made for smooth distribution of sealing force over perimeter of seat and adjustment of sealing force.

EFFECT: simplified technology of ball cock manufacture.
