FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed lighting balloon with fillable envelope 12 has control unit 18 arranged in envelope 12. Control unit includes electropneumatic air blower 52 with inlet hole to suck in outside air and outlet hole to direct air into inner space of balloon, electronic circuit to supply electropneumatic device 52 and lamp 16 with power, and case 28 to support lamp 16 and protection grid precluding contact of envelope 12 and lamp. Grid extends almost to top of envelope to impart mechanical rigidity to balloon structure. EFFECT: improved reliability of device, reduced cost of servicing regardless of place of application. 10 cl, 4 dwg
