FIELD: gyroscopic instruments with spring gyromotor in outer gimbal which may be used as heading, yawing and pitching angle sensors of military and civil mobile units. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in rotating the rotor to fully wound-up state of spring on bush and locking the rotor relative to body after cocking the spring. Prior to rotating the rotor, slide block is moved over spline towards bush overcoming force of compression spring, throwing teeth of bush and slide block in engagement and rotor is rotated in drawn-in state of slide block till self- gripping, approximately by 0.25 to 0.5 revolution. Then, drawing force is removed from slide block and rotor is rotated to fully wound-up state of spring. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability. 2 dwg
