FIELD: determination of true vertical on moving or immobile objects. SUBSTANCE: device is intended for use in the capacity of roll and pitching sensor on aircraft. Limitations on degrees of freedom of gyroscopic system are imposed. Its moment of momentum is zeroed. Physical pendulum is simultaneously connected to gimbal suspension. Gyroscopic system is brought to vertical by means of physical pendulum on section of trajectory without acceleration. Prior to start of movement of apparatus with acceleration limitations on degrees of freedom of gyroscopic system are lifted. Its moment of momentum is restored and pendulum is disconnected. Information on angular position of apparatus is obtained from angle-data transmitter. Internal frame is made in the form of hollow cylinder with vertical axis. Two two-degree-of-freedom gyros are placed inside cylinder one above another so that vectors of their moments of momentum are directed in opposition along vertical. Axes of gimbal suspension are orthogonal one to another. Enclosures of gyros are joined by hinge. Upper end face of cylinder carries armature of solenoid electromagnet which frame can move towards enclosure of gyro. Cap in the form of spherical shell with center matching center of suspension of device is fixed on lower end face of cylinder uniaxially to it. Second electromagnet is mounted on frame under spherical cap. EFFECT: shortened time of setting to vertical, increased precision and authenticity of measurements, diminished dimensions of device. 2 cl, 1 dwg
