FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: battery unit has contact system incorporating holder, first contact built integral with holder, and second contact built integral with holder; both contacts are stamped of easily welded conducting material. Notched line is provided between contacts and holder. Selected part of contacts is electroplated with gold to obtain clean surface to be welded and selectively electroplated surface. In the course of assembly clean surface is welded with positive and negative terminal poles of battery unit; holder is partially broken along notched lines and removed. Resulting contacts are reliably secured to terminal poles of battery unit to form surface electroplated with gold for contacting device supplied with power from battery unit.
