FIELD: heat-sensing current choppers for galvanic cells. SUBSTANCE: heat-activated current chopping mechanism is built integral with galvanic-cell end plug assembly. Preferable heat-responsive mechanism has easily fusing bimetal disk or fusible material for breaking electric circuit in end plug assembly. The latter may also incorporate built-in pressure-responsive current chopping mechanism. Pressure-responsive mechanism is activated to open electric circuit inside end plug assembly and to prevent current flow through cell; it has diaphragm which breaks in response to inadmissible gas pressure.
