FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves projecting regular geometrical grid upon the human body back. The picture of geometric structure distortions is recorded and entered into computer storage for processing the primary information and reconstructing three-dimensional profile of the surface under study. Projecting and recording is carried out under crossing optical axes of the projector and recording units. Both projector and recording units are arranged in space so that projection field and vision field in the plane coinciding with the conditional frontal one drawn through vertebral column of the patient under study cover the conditional testee possessing maximum possible anthropological signs, respectively.
