FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: surgical instrument has shank and operating part made in the form of hollow truncated cone with cutting teeth on its side surface. Operating part is further equipped with end teeth on smaller base of hollow cone, cutting depth scale on cone generatrix and at least two cutting depth restrictors on cone larger base. Cutting depth restrictors are made in the form of longitudinal screws positioned for displacement in threaded openings, which are communicated with cone cavity. Cavity of cone is made in the form of cylinder for receiving transplant. Cone angle is made so as to prevent operating part from unexpected extending beyond bone tissue under treatment process and is within the range of 8-10 deg or 15-20 deg. Sharpening angle of cutting teeth on side surface of hollow cone is 20-25 deg. Cutting teeth are beveled toward cone central axis at an angle of 12-18 deg to define channels for receiving bone chips. Surgical instrument is used in neuroorthopedics, neurosurgery and traumatology. EFFECT: increased efficiency by optimized engagement of surgical instrument operating part with bone tissues under treatment process. 2 cl, 12 dwg
