SUBSTANCE: method of check and/or adjustment of valves, calve injectors of internal combustion engines first of all consists in furnishing definite control signal for determination of signal characterizing consumption of fuel. Gaseous medium is fed to valve and magnitude of first value characterizing consumption of gaseous medium and/or magnitude of at least one second value are determined. Device proposed for realization of said method includes control unit for furnishing definite control signal to valve for determination of signal characterizing consumption of fuel. Device is also provided with pressure generator for delivery of gaseous medium to valve and for determination of magnitude of first value characterizing consumption of gaseous medium and/or magnitude of at least one second value setting magnitude of current at which valve opens and/or setting magnitude of current at which valve closes.
