FIELD: conversion of river stream energy into electrical energy. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has housing with hydraulic unit whose turbine is provided with vertical shaft and blades oriented in vertical plane for projection beyond housing and electric generator. Housing is made in form of dam extending along river with transversal apertures where hydraulic units are mounted. Vertical shafts of hydraulic units are shifted relative to longitudinal axis of dam for contact of working surfaces of blades with water flow during their rotation in following direction and closing at opposite direction of rotation; shaft is connected with electric generator by means of step-up reduction gear. EFFECT: possibility of obtaining electric energy from moment of installation of first unit increasing productivity as dam erection continues. 3 cl, 2 dwg
