METHOD FOR INDIVIDUAL SELECTION OF MEDICINAL PREPARATIONS FOR A CERTAIN PATIENT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method deals with cultivation of patient's blood components together with tested preparations, analysis of blood components' substrates before and after cultivation and selection of an optimal preparation. As a substrate of blood components one should analyze the concentration of ascorbic acid (AA) and its oxidized forms (OF), the selection of an optimal preparation is carried out by taking into account the altered ratio of these values (AA/OF) before and after cultivation. The picture is considered to be optimal if at cultivating the patient's blood components the preparations are applied which are tested at different curative doses from minimal to maximal and in accordance to those recommended for application, the selection of an optimal preparation is conducted by taking into consideration maximal alteration of AA/OF ratio before and after cultivation; cultivation of patient's blood components is performed for 24-27 h, AA/OF ratio is detected at 30-120-min-long interval, AA/OF alteration as a time function is plotted and an optimal preparation is selected by comparing the areas under the plots calculated according to AA/OF and cultivation time data.
