FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves inravenously administering albumin one day before administering radioactive iodine to a patient, labeled with the same radionuclide. Radiometric examination is carried out above the thyroid gland and femur in 15 min after administering the radioactive pharmaceutical preparations. The thyroid gland radiometric examination with labeled albumin being over, radioactive iodine is administered to the patient and in vivo radiometric examination is carried out in 2.4 and 24 h after administering the radioactive iodine. The measurement results of radiation intensity above the thyroid gland are compared to activity of radioactive iodine injected into the organism taken for 100%. Radioactive iodine accumulation in the thyroid gland is calculated according to a mathematical formula. EFFECT: high accuracy of evaluation. 3 tbl
