SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely nuclear medicine, and can be used for assessing risk of recurrent differentiated thyroid cancer following radioiodine therapy. Dependence of the apparatus on the average count rate on the projection is determined and the spatial resolution of the emission part of the apparatus is determined using a phantom. A patient's neck and chest are scanned to obtain SPECT / CT images. Determining the linear dimensions of the hyperfractionation focus of the radiopharmaceutical from the CT image and comparing it with the spatial resolution of the emission part of the apparatus. Depending on the size of the detected source, calculations are made, as a result of which the average value of the standardized capture value in the SUVmean or SUVpeak source is determined and maximum value of standardized value of capture in source SUVmax by given formulas. If observing the values SUVpeak > 155, SUVmax > 38, SUVmean > 224, a low risk of recurrence of DTC is stated.

EFFECT: method enables early detection of a group of patients with a high risk of recurrence by using the SPECT / CT diagnostic system.
