FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves analyzing parameters of neurosonographic images taken from patients during the first week of the disease. Fissure between the hemispheres, bone-to brain diastasis, lateral ventricle index and the third ventricle index, echogenicity and echogenic structure of the brain are measured for predicting severe and moderate severity development with high frequency of neurologic injuries.
