FIELD: plastic metal working, namely processes and equipment for making flexible hoses with helical movable seam of metallic band. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes unit for profiling band; unit for preliminarily deforming band and unit for finally deforming band with use of mandrel. Unit for preliminarily deforming band includes die, punch being part of mandrel and helical guide. Punch is profiled one; its lateral surface is joined with working surface of helical guide. The last may have radius exceeding that of lateral surface of mandrel by 1.2-1.5 times. EFFECT: possibility for making flexible hose with highly reliable movable connection of turns. 2 cl, 4 dwg _
