FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: reinforcing material is adapted for reinforcing tarpaulin covers having plastic coating and comprises warp and weft, which define netted fabric meshes having maximal size of from 5 cm to 30 cm. Warp or weft is produced from strip material comprising matrix of thermoplastic material capable of sticking to plastic coat of tarpaulin covers. Plastic coat contains two or several elongated metal members. Strip material has average sectional thickness within the range of 0.50-3 mm and sectional width within the range of 3-25 mm.
