FIELD: rocketry and space engineering. SUBSTANCE: cryogenic stage includes circular cluster of spherical truncated tanks which is perpendicular to longitudinal axis of stage. Rods connected with tanks are mounted over edges of regular octagonal pyramid. Upper ends of rods are provided with attachment units for securing payload. Cryogenic stage is provided with additional cluster of tanks in form of four cylindrical reservoirs with spherical bottoms which are interconnected together. This cluster is separable after usage of propellant. Each reservoir is provided with two main frames which are connected with lower ends of said rods. Frames are provided with attachment units for securing cryogenic stage to adjacent stage of launch vehicle. Rocket engine of cryogenic stage is located in axial aperture of additional tank cluster. Additional propellant tank is located in axial aperture of said circular cluster of tanks. EFFECT: enhanced weight efficiency of cryogenic stage at increased propellant capacity. 2 cl, 4 dwg
