FIELD: spacecraft technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of moving small spacecraft in outer space. The proposed small booster (SB) uses a casing of a pyramidal caisson structure made of sheet material. The propulsion system (PS) uses fuel components with a low critical temperature, stored in gas cylinders and displaced due to excess pressure created during refuelling. This simplifies the SB control algorithms due to the absence of disturbances from fluid fluctuations in the tanks and minimizes the remaining gaseous fuel. Four motor modules are used to back up the propulsion system. Due to the complete degassing of fuel containers after completion of operation of the SB, the possibility of their explosion is eliminated.
EFFECT: simplifying the design, increasing the reliability, reducing the overall dimensions and weight of the SB.
