FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: catalyst converter has housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes, several reactors with catalysts arranged parallel to gas flow, and exhaust gas distributor made in form of disk enclosed in housing. Diametrical grooves are made in front part of housing in direction of gas flow and on outer surface of distributor. Balls are installed in space thus formed. So, distributor is mounted movably relative to housing for rotation under action of exhaust gas pressure. Slot is made in lower part of housing under distributor with ball lock fitted in slot. Recesses for lock ball are made on outer of distributor parallel to diametrical groove. Idle sector is made on front end face wall of distributor whose angle is equal to angle of sector of catalytic reactor. Its space accommodates regenerative sector formed by two inner partitions and rear end face wall equal to two idle sectors, gas control gate installed for rotation relative to distributor under action of exhaust gas pressure installed on axle, and spring rigidly coupled with gate in zone of absence of direct action of exhaust gases. EFFECT: improved efficiency of exhaust gas cleaning, reduced consumption of fuel, increased service life of engine owing to smooth engagement of reactors and automation of catalyst regeneration process and changing of sequence of their operation. 3 dwg
