FIELD: technology of agglomeration of substances difficultly soluble and sensible to hydrolysis, particularly, pharmaceutical active substances, for instance, acetylsalicylic acid. SUBSTANCE: method includes passing of difficultly soluble substance powder together with at least one water-soluble binder under conditions of free fall through steam temperature at temperature between 85 and 105 C without compaction. In this case, residence time of powder in steam zone amounts from 0.5 to 10 s. Formed sinter cake is dried under conditions of free fall so that in points of contact between initial particles, small bridges of solid substance are formed from formed bridges of liquid binder. Then final drying is effected in fluidized bed. Method is realized in steam-jet agglomerator where freely falling product curtain from powder mixture to be agglomerated is subjected to treatment with steam by means of steam nozzles. Adjacent to agglomerator lower part is a drier with fluidized bed so that agglomerated particles fall directly into fluidized bed. In this case, the drier is separated from steam zone.
