FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: proposed detachable and sectional rail has U-shaped head 1 with carrying cheeks 2 and foot 4 with carrying post 5, and bolt fastenings. Butt joints of rail members are displaced in different sides to register holes of bolted joints of cheeks 2 of head 1 and post 5 of foot 4. Shaped seats M for accommodating end face of carrying cheeks 2 of head 1 are made at both sides of base of carrying post 5 of foot 4. Shaped seats M have inclined pressure plane. Clearance is formed between head 1 and end face of carrying [post 5 of foot 4. EFFECT: improved reliability and load bearing capacity owing to re-distribution of dynamic butt-joining forces over length of rail. 5 cl, 4 dwg
