FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: insulating rail butt joints of the upper structure of a railway track. The method for assembling an electrically insulating butt joint of rails includes preparing pads located on both sides of the mating ends of the rails, preparing the surfaces of the pads, rails and bolts, joining the rails, installing an insulating gasket between the rail joints, installing the pads, assembling and heat treating the joint. In this case, first, before joining the rails, the rails are installed on a support plate placed on the surface of the rail transportation system, a centering element is placed on the support plate, the thickness of which corresponds to the thickness of the insulating gasket, the joined rails are moved until it stops with the centering element, and the rails are fixed on the base plate in the vertical and horizontal direction, and before installing the insulating gasket, the centering element is removed. The device proposed for implementing the method is adapted to a roller conveyor line and contains a base, a support plate installed on the base with the possibility of vertical movement, clamping mechanisms for interacting with the rail, installed on the support plate and made in the form of devices for horizontal and vertical fixation of rails. The device is also equipped with two rotary support mechanisms located on the support plate facing each other, with each rotary support mechanism made in the form of a rack equipped with a support plane with a surface that follows the outer contour of the insulating gasket. The supporting plane is equipped with protrusions for fixing the insulating gasket and is mounted on a stand with the ability to rotate 90°.
EFFECT: increased assembly efficiency, as well as increased accuracy, reliability and safety during work.
